Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) on a PRN basis. The RN plans, directs, coordinates and implements nursing care for post-surgical patients, ensuring safe, high-quality care in compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in Texas, a minimum of one year of hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU experience, and BLS certification to support patient safety and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• At least one year experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
• RN, current in the State of Texas.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care.
• Respond to patients presenting to the facility with a healthcare need and provide Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) Department for a PRN opportunity. The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
