Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Post Surgical Unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care for post‑operative patients and work closely with surgeons and post-acute caregivers to ensure a seamless continuum of care from pre‑ to post‑op.

The ideal candidate has Texas RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of hospital experience, with orthopedic or ER background preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BCLS, ACLS; PALS recommended.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good organization habits
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit
• Strong ER experience preferred.
• 1-year orthopedic nursing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• The PSU RN has the responsibility to provide all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.
• He/She ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.
• The RN cares for all ages from 2 years to geriatric.
• Will work directly with surgeons and post-acute caregivers to provide a seamless continuity of care from pre- to post-op.
