Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit on nights. This full-time role requires planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering nursing care to post-surgical patients while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

You will participate in medical screening exams as delegated and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• 1-2 years’ experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit preferred
• RN, current in the State of Texas
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care; maintain compliance with nursing standards and Joint Commission.
• Respond to patients presenting with healthcare needs and perform Medical Screening Exam as delegated by Medical Executive Committee.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) Department for a full time opportunity on nights

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
