Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit on nights. The RN will plan, direct, organize and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients, ensuring safety and high-quality care in a busy hospital setting.

Texas RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred. This full-time position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a collaborative team environment in North Texas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• 1-2 years’ hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU RN experience preferred.
• RN license current in Texas.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to use nursing judgment in patient care.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure highest quality and safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, Joint Commission, and federal/state standards.
• Respond to patients and provide Medical Screening Exam as delegated by Medical Executive Committee.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a joint venture surgical hospital between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and local physicians. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) Department for a full time opportunity on nights. The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
