Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post-Surgical Unit for a full-time day shift. The RN plans, directs, coordinates, and delivers nursing care for post-surgical patients to meet standards of care.

Responsibilities include responding to patients, performing the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• 1–2 years’ RN experience in hospital Med/Surg or ICU preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure highest quality and safe patient care and compliance with standards.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a joint venture surgical hospital between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and local physicians. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) Department for a full time opportunity on the day shift. The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
