Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System seeks a part-time, PRN Registered Nurse for Day Shift in the Post-Operative unit. The RN will implement and document the nursing process, advocate for patients, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff under the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, Indiana RN license, CPR certification within 60 days, and at least 1 year of Post-Op RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN Indiana License. CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.
• At least 1 year RN experience in Post Op.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process per standards of care and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Act as a patient advocate to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality post-operative nursing care.
• Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation and care plans.

About the job:

As a Registered Nurse at Saint Joseph Health System you are responsible for implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process in accordance with current established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. Our RNs are patient advocates who provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
