Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, oversee patient safety, and collaborate with the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RN license in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including medical history interview, physical exam and blood testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations.
