Job summary

Valley Internal Medicine-Beaver seeks a Registered Nurse to support outpatient internal medicine with a strong focus on telephone triage and patient outreach after hospital and ED discharge.

Office location Beaver, PA with hours 7:00am–5:30pm; shifts discussed at interview and no weekend/holiday coverage. Pennsylvania RN licensure, BLS, and necessary clearances within 90 days are required; ACLS and BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure; other state licensure as required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred; successful completion of required clearances within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and provide patient education and guidance.
• Outreach to patients post-hospital and post-ED discharge.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charts.
• Assist physician during examinations and procedures.
• Provide follow-up instructions and nursing care as needed.

Office Location: Valley Internal Medicine (Beaver) 500 Sharon Rd, Beaver.
Work Hours: Office Hours 7-5:30pm; shifts will be discussed at interview; no weekends or holiday coverage.

Strong focus on telephone triage; patient outreach post hospital and ED discharge. Renders professional nursing care to ensure the comfort and well being of patients. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Maintains patients' medical records on observations. May assist physician during treatment and examination of patient. Performs necessary follow-up care, instructions and education to the patient.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing, ACLS
