Job summary

VIOS Technologies Inc. is seeking a full-time day shift Preoperative and Postoperative Recovery Nurse (PACU) to provide specialized care in a fast-paced setting. This role emphasizes safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.

You will admit patients to the preoperative unit, prepare them for surgery, support immediate postoperative recovery, and assist with discharge planning and transfers. ACLS/PALS are preferred, and 2 years of experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Nursing License in the state.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification; PALS preferred for primary PACU nurses.
• Experience of two years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients to the preoperative unit, preparing them physically for surgery, reviewing charts, and explaining procedures.
• Providing professional nursing care during the immediate postoperative period.
• Assessing patients' physical and psychological needs.
• Implementing measures to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.
• Preparing patients for discharge and ensuring safe transfer from the center.
• Serving as a patient advocate across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
