Registered Nurse – Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures, including reviewing medical histories and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during pre-op and post-op phases, promptly addressing any changes.
  • Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management, wound care, and recovery monitoring.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and recovery processes.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • Proven experience in perioperative nursing, including pre-op and PACU settings.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia, pain management, and post-surgical care.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
