Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse on the 4 West unit at the Main Campus Glick to deliver high-quality care for pediatric patients from newborns to young adults.

Responsibilities include triage, IV meds, weight-based dosing, trauma care, and collaborating with PCNAs, interns, providers, social workers and case management. Night shifts with rotating weekends/holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare provider certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Shift: 11p-7a/7p-7a; rotating weekends, rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Pediatric (Newborn through 25 years old)

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
