Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department. The role focuses on direct patient care and collaboration with the care team to achieve optimal health outcomes. Per diem night shifts available in Hackensack, NJ.

Responsibilities include collecting data, conducting assessments, coordinating care plans, and administering medications with barcode technology. Requires NJ RN license and BLS/CPR within 60 days.

Competenze

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately.

Requirements

Education:

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience:

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
