Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Perth Amboy, NJ. This per diem evening role focuses on patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

You will collect health data, perform assessments, coordinate plans of care, communicate with families and the care team, administer medications with bar-scanning technology, and ensure licensure and BLS/CPR requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required.
• BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma required; BSN preferred and in progress.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.

• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
