Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Short Stay unit. You will deliver care based on evidence-based practices and coordinate with patients, families, and the health care team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

The role is Per Diem with Day shift. BSN strongly preferred and 1–2 years of pediatric chemotherapy, procedural sedation, or IV infusion experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years of pediatric chemotherapy, procedural sedation, or IV infusion experience.
• Current and valid New Jersey RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• APHON certification required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
• National certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based practices.
• Communicate patient status and care plans with patients and healthcare team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and wellness.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions.

Requirements

Education:

Experience:
