Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Unit. This full-time role covers 36 hours weekly with shifts 1500-2330 and 1900-0730, including weekend rotation; float duties when needed.

You will provide safe, compassionate pediatric nursing care, apply the nursing process, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality outcomes while collaborating with the care team. IL licensure and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program graduate required.
• BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Provider required (AHA).
• Current professional IL nursing license required.
• 1 year acute care or 1 year pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Inpatient pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric Unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with health-care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and high-quality patient experience.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Unit

Location: Evanston, IL

Full Time: Full time, 36 hours per week

Hours: 1500-2330 and 1900-0730, with weekend rotation

Float: when needed

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric Unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year Pediatric Nursing experience preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Inpatient Pediatric experience
