Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Unit. This full-time role involves evening and night shifts with weekend rotation, providing compassionate pediatric nursing care and collaborating with the medical team.

The nurse will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while mentoring support staff and ensuring safety and quality in patient care. Demonstrated commitment to patient experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider from AHA required.
• Current IL nursing license required.
• 1 year acute care or pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care in the Pediatric Unit.
• Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate the care plan.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in patient care.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience.

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric Unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year Pediatric Nursing experience preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Inpatient Pediatric experience
