Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center is hiring a Charge Nurse in Pediatric ICU to lead the unit during shifts, coordinate patient care, and ensure high quality nursing services. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with the health team and patient's family.

Qualifications include RN licensure with 1 year of RN experience, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS to be obtained per start date requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with RN licensure.
• Must have 1 year of experience in RN roles.
• No travel required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing care in the Pediatric ICU and coordinate unit functions.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate patient care with the care team.
• Supervise and work with nursing staff during designated shifts.
• Ensure adherence to policies and quality measures in patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date (RN)
• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• No Travel Required
• 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
