Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Lubbock, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an assigned clinic specialty. You will perform a range of general and specialized nursing duties within a health care team, under supervision, and may supervise junior staff when needed.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, documenting patient data in the EMR, assessing health status, communicating with patients, and contributing to care plans

Qualifications

• Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited program of professional nursing or scheduled to complete within 120 days of applying.
• Current RN license in Texas or temporary permit to practice pending full licensure (Texas).
• New graduates welcome; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls.
• Reports data and identifies alterations in patient responses to aid in goal formation.
• Communicates patient data using EMR to support decision-making.
• Obtains and records accurate vital signs and measurements.
• Assists with or performs exams and procedures and documents in EMR.
• Participates in patient care planning with the team.
