Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks clinicians to augment physician teams in pediatric care. You will gather histories, perform exams, and support decisions to implement patient care plans under physician supervision.

You will provide comprehensive care, order tests, and participate in education for patients and families, collaborating with nurses and the care team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and Texas licensure, or RN licensure with NP certification.
• Current PA license in Texas or ability to transfer; OR RN license with NP certification in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients, including assessments, exams, diagnosis, and management of conditions.
• Obtain histories, interpret data, and order/perform diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs).
• Perform therapeutic and preventive procedures (immunizations, injections, suturing, wound care, infection management).
• Develop care plans, document progress, and ensure continuity of care.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment adherence, prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
