Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks a professional registered nurse to provide care in an assigned clinic specialty, supporting a multidisciplinary health care team and supervising other staff as needed. The role requires collaboration with patients and families to develop comprehensive care plans.

The position emphasizes triage, EMR documentation, patient education, and referrals coordination, with a focus on culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• Board of Nursing accredited nursing program completed or to be completed within 120 days of applying.
• Current Texas RN license or temporary permit pending full licensure.
• New graduates must pass NCLEX-RN on first attempt.
• No experience required.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Preferred: at least 1 year RN experience, preferably in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls.
• Reports data and collaborates with the health care team to form patient-centered plans of care.
• Assess physical and mental health status of diverse patients and families.
• Document interventions and vital signs in EMR.
• Provide patient and family teaching and plan follow-up care.
