Job summary

Incredible Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for PCU/Stepdown to join a busy hospital team. Nurses with experience in high-acuity settings or with BiPAP monitoring are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 1 year in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac or similar setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications by American Heart Association.
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients with close monitoring of vitals and IV drips.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and use of BiPAP/CPAP/O2 devices and monitors.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with policies.

Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the San Antonio, TX area for the following position: Registered Nurse - PCU / Stepdown. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Shift(s) available: day shift, night shift, and mid shift

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations

Salary: $60,150 to $98,020 /year
