Incredible Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown unit in Athens, TX. Shifts available include day and night, with full-time and part-time openings in a teaching hospital setting.

The role emphasizes high-acuity patient care, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and use of BiPAP/CPAP equipment. Applicants should hold an ADN or higher, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification, with preferred experience in stepdown or similar units.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license and current BLS/ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• 1 year experience in stepdown, neurology, cardiac, or similar high-acuity setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients with monitoring.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on management of acute or chronic conditions, including BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records per hospital and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
