Job summary

First Choice Nurses in Massachusetts is seeking PCU RNs for flexible per diem shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a). Take control of your schedule and work as little as one shift per month, with daily or weekly pay options.

As a PCU RN, you will assess patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications and IV therapies, and collaborate with physicians while maintaining electronic records. Vaccination and credential requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS

• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
