First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem shifts in Virginia. Shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a with the freedom to choose schedules and work as little as one shift per month.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience (past 4 years).
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
