Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (PCU) to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN will assist pre- and post-operative care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

The role requires a BSN or enrollment with a plan to obtain within 5 years, NC RN licensure, BLS certification, and 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or enrolled in BSN; obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date
• RNs with 10 years+ experience are exempt
• eNLC license may apply; verify with NC BON
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required
• National Certification in specialty area preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; report changes
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses
• Document care in patient records promptly and thoroughly
• Perform procedures as ordered by medical provider
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
