Baptist Health (Jacksonville) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in medical and surgical units. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while supervising staff and coordinating with ancillary services.

You will involve patients and families in developing individualized plans, educate them about disease and plan of care, and advocate for patients.

Formación

• RN licensure required (state nursing board).
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years Cardiac experience preferred.
• 1–2 years Telemetry experience preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• ACLS within 6 months for the ED where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services and involve patients and families in care plans.
• Educate patients and families about disease process and plan of care.
• Act as patient advocate and interact with physicians and hospital staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition

• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services

Education/Degree Required:

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Degree Preferred:

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Experience:

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
