Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Fulltime Day shift in our General PCU. New hires are eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process, educate patients and families about their disease and plan of care, and coordinate with physicians and hospital teams. Diploma nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing or BA/BS preferred.
• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred.
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience.
• Hospital Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services and interact with physicians.
• Act as the patient advocate and participate in staff meetings.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
*Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition

• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital

Education/Degree Required:

Associate of Science in Nursing Or
