Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the General PCU on a Fulltime Day shift at Baptist South (South - Main Building). New hires are eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus and must have 5+ years of progressive care experience with an RN license.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, education for patients and families, and coordination with physicians and support services to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Diploma nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.
• Experience in cardiac and telemetry care preferred.
• Current RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
