Job summary

Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Fulltime Days in the PCU department. RN experience including Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care is preferred. New hires eligible for a $3,750 sign-on bonus and hospital-based benefits.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process, coordination of care with physicians and support staff, and advocacy for patients and families. Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• AS in Nursing required; BA/BS preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience; cardiac/telemetry preferred.
• Active RN license required; BLS certification required.
• ACLS, Conscious Sedation, CCRN certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients using the nursing process and coordinate with care teams.
• Educate patients and families about their disease and care plan.
• Act as patient advocate and participate in unit activities and staff meetings.
• Coordinate care with physicians and ancillary services.

Baptist Beaches is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for Fulltime Days in the PCU department. RN experience including Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care is preferred. *New Hires eligible for a $3,750 Sign on Bonus*

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services

• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
• Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Education/Degree Required

Associate of Science in Nursing Or Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Experience

• 1-2 years
• Cardiac Experience Preferred 1-2 years
• Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
