Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Jersey Shore University Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. You will communicate with patients and the care team, administer medications with advanced bar-scanning technology, and document care in real time to support safe outcomes.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR within 60 days, ACLS, and a willingness to pursue BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Strong teamwork, accountability and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per evidence-based research and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team regarding status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safety.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care.
