Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a collaborative setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, perform medication administration with bar-scanning, and maintain accurate nursing documentation to support safe transitions.

The role requires current NJ RN license, BLS, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• Minimum of 1 year of main OR nursing experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS/PALS certification preferred; CNOR preferred.
• Strong learning agility, accountability, teamwork, and patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and care teams regarding status and plans.
• Medication administration using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point‑of‑Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharging for safe transitions of care.
