Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient teams in Cincinnati. The RN will perform holistic assessments, develop and implement patient-centered care plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care across the nursing process.

Responsibilities include ongoing patient education, discharge planning, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• RN must hold current Ohio nursing license.
• BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire for those hired after Jan 2010.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Knowledge of the Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic nursing assessment using the Professional Practice Model.
• Identify actual/potential problems and prioritize care.
• Coordinate plan of care with patient/family using SBAR.
• Initiate discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.
• Provide education to patient and family throughout care.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and quality improvement participation.
• Attend required staff and council meetings and engage in professional development.
• Maintain competency in unit-specific nursing practice and documentation.
