Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care following the nursing process. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with emphasis on family-centered care and safety.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care plans, and engaging in discharge planning. BLS is required, ACLS within 6 months for certain units, and new hires should pursue BSN within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license to practice in Ohio.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Nurses hired after Jan 2010 should obtain BSN within 5 years of hire; MSN/DNP not required but preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and data for nursing diagnoses and plan care.
• Collaborate with physician and care team; communicate via SBAR.
• Coordinate and revise multidisciplinary care plans with patient and family.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and make appropriate referrals.

Education

BSN within 5 years policy (for new hires)

ACLS within 6 months (step-down/ICU)

BLS certification required
