Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas or a compact state; temporary Texas license allowed while waiting for permanent license.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS.
• Must have and maintain ARC/AHA certifications (ACLS, PALS, ENPC) as required by unit.
• New graduate RNs with permit to practice may provide documentation from their RN program.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care according to facility policies and philosophy.
• Provide leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision; interact with hospital and ancillary departments.
• May require weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call status.

Education

RN licensure in Texas

BSN preferred

Nursing degree (ADN/BSN/Diploma)

BLS

ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications
