Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. in Texas seeks a registered nurse to manage care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures. The RN leads the nursing team, assesses, plans, guides, and evaluates care in alignment with facility policies and philosophy.

You will provide safe, competent nursing care, supervise and support nursing staff, collaborate with hospital teams, and participate in weekends/evenings as needed while upholding Service Excellence.

Qualifications

• RN must be licensed in Texas or a compact state; BSN preferred.
• New graduates may practice with a permit and must complete program requirements.
• Must have and maintain BLS and current ARC/AHA certifications.
• Prefer 1 year FT or 3 years PT in acute care; adhere to Compliance Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per facility policies and standards.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision.
• Interact with hospital staff to address patient care concerns and resolve conflicts.
• May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
