Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a professional nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care across the continuum. The role emphasizes individualized nursing plans, collaborative care, and adherence to cultural beliefs and values.

The nurse will participate in care planning, education, and quality improvement initiatives, working within a dynamic team to ensure safe, compassionate, and coordinated patient care. Night shift availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• State-licensed RN in PA or eligible to obtain PA license before work.
• Knowledge of patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to use health information systems to document and monitor care outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, families, and staff in line with Jefferson Health values.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate errors, and support ethical decisions.
• Works in inter-professional teams with open communication and shared decision-making.

• Acts as a primary preceptor for appropriate staff members.
