Job summary

UF Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of the Director or Charge Nurse. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• ADN required for eligibility.
• BSN degree preferred by UF Health.
• Active Florida RN license and BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care per policies and best practices.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and safely.
• Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and revise care plans as needed.
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain patient records.
• Coordinate care with physicians, case management, and the interprofessional team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Mentor and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff.
• Participate in quality initiatives and ongoing professional development.
