Job summary

Ventura Services Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise Behavioral Health Techs and LPNs in accordance with laws, regulations, and hospital policy.

You will document in the EHR, receive physician orders, administer medications, and coordinate care. The role requires ongoing participation in staff meetings and continuing education to maintain competency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN license in the state employed.
• Postsecondary education completed; able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions; regular attendance.
• Related experience sufficient for this position.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing functions of Behavioral Health Techs and LPNs.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Supervise nursing staff within scope of practice per position.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations on shift activities.
• Coordinate nursing services with other patient services to maintain care plans.
• Participate in center surveys by government agencies when requested.
• Assist in planning discharge nursing services; admit, transfer, and discharge patients.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
