Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six or more months of nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, high quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Performs age- and disease-specific assessment independently focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Develops a plan of care and coordinates its implementation.
• Communicates and coordinates the plan of care with patient, family, and care team.
• Documents assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation in real time.
• Administers medications per protocols and participates in safe patient transitions.
