Qualifications

The Successful Candidate

• Provides individualized, relationship-based care to geriatric and adult patients and their families.
• Develops personalized care plans using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Guides nursing practice independently and evaluates patient outcomes.
• Inspires clinical excellence through effective delegation and independent judgment.
• Uses effective communication to foster a caring and healing environment, with patients and families at the center.
• Addresses physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs, coordinating care with healthcare team members.
• Assesses, evaluates, implements, monitors, and documents pre- and post-operative care and medications for surgical patients.
• Directs care provided by licensed and unlicensed clinicians.
• Assists physicians with procedures.
• Prioritizes care for various surgical patients.
• Available to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience.
• Graduate of an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited Nursing program and licensed in the practice state.
• Maintains BLS certification.
• Obtains OCN certification within 18 months of hire or completes 36 hours of oncology-related CE every three years, with 12 hours annually (Surgical Services exempt).
• Obtains ACLS certification upon hire or by the end of orientation and maintains it.
• Recognizes cardiac arrhythmias and responds appropriately (Telemetry experience).
• Able to respond to the hospital within 60 minutes.
