Job summary

Advanced Surgery Center of Bethesda is seeking a PRN PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation at our Bethesda, Maryland outpatient center.

Ideal candidates hold a Maryland RN license, BLS/ACLS, with 2 years PACU/critical care experience and strong nursing judgment. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and discharge preparation, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active Maryland RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in PACU with ongoing evaluation.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy; prepare for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.

PACU Registered Nurse at Advanced Surgery Center of Bethesda

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

Salary Range: $50.00 PRN Rate
