Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for PACU I, providing a full range of nursing services with strong clinical judgment and patient-focused care. The role emphasizes compassionate care, efficient care delivery, and collaboration within a busy perioperative setting.

The position offers a 24-hour-per-week schedule (day shifts, 8:00am–8:30pm, Mon–Fri, with rotating weekends/holidays/call shifts) and a sign-on bonus of $6,666. Department: PACU I.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire date.
• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire date or as Instructor.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services.
• Apply the nursing process within the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains, ensuring quality outcomes.

Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes, and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
