Job summary

Henry Ford Surgery Center-St. Clair Shores is seeking a BSN-prepared Registered Nurse to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care.

You will apply the nursing process, supervise care, and document teaching for patients and families, while communicating effectively with the health care team in a fast-paced surgical setting. Required include Michigan RN licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and strong collaboration skills to meet patient goals and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Michigan RN license; BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross card acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and families.

Job Description

Schedule: Contingent, flexes with the surgical volume. Monday through Friday no weekends no holidays no call. Start time varies depending on OR schedule.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Required experience: Recovery, ICU, or ED.Recovery Room experience preferred.
