Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. This full-time role requires four 10-hour day shifts per week with call night and every sixth weekend. The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and coordinate care with other departments.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and bridging programs for BSN/MSN, reflecting Mercy's commitment to professional growth and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• Education: Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current MO RN license and/or compact licensure.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Registered Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week

Shift: Four 10-hr Day Shifts per week (with additional call one night a week and every 6th weekend with another nurse)

Candidates may be eligible for RN Incentives including:

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus - No Contract Required
• ASN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your BSN (up to $16,000).
• BSN to MSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your MSN (up to $16,000).

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience is preferred.

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Current RN license within the state of Missouri and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed. Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining license. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

  • ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
  • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
  • Other unit-specific certifications as required.

• Other:Physical requirements/demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
