Job summary

Shea Online is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Evanston, IL. The role offers 5p–11p (5p to 11a in a 12-hour night schedule) with on-call requirements and potential travel to other Endeavor Hospitals.

You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. IL RN license and BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• IL RN License
• 1 year experience in comparable role, PACU/ ICU/ Behavioral Health experience preferred
• CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred
• CPAN/CAPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Perioperative care of patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
• Phase 1 & 2 care of peri anesthesia patients from the Operating Rooms and supporting procedure areas.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient. Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
