Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the perioperative period. The nurse acts as a patient advocate, ensuring safety while collaborating with the surgical team to complete procedures.

The role may include orienting new staff, leading educational programs, and securing supplies and equipment for care delivery. Full-time, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• IL RN License and CPR/BLS certified.
• 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the perioperative period.
• Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with the surgical team.
• Assist orientation of new staff and secure necessary supplies and equipment.

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Hours: 3p to 11:30p M- F availability with call requirements (Nights, Weekends included)

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
