Endeavor Health is hiring a Perioperative Registered Nurse for the Evanston, IL location. The role involves direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations during the perioperative period, acting as a patient advocate and ensuring surgical safety.

This full-time position includes orientation duties and handling supplies and equipment. Education requires graduation from a state-approved nursing program with an IL RN license and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• IL RN license required with CPR/BLS through American Heart Association.
• 2+ years RN perioperative experience preferred; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in perioperative setting.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safety in the surgical environment.
• May orient new staff and assist with educational programs; assist with securing and maintaining supplies/equipment.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full time
• Hours: 3p to 11:30p M- F availability with call requirements (Nights, Weekends included)

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
