Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse for the Evanston, IL perioperative team. The role involves direct patient care across age groups during the perioperative period, acting as a patient advocate, and ensuring a safe surgical environment.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license in Illinois, BLS/CPR, and perioperative experience; BSN is preferred. The position is full-time with evening hours and on-call requirements, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved nursing program is required.
• BSN may be preferred.
• IL RN License is required.
• CPR BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• 2 years perioperative RN experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in the perioperative setting.
• Act as patient advocate and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safety and successful procedures.
• May contribute to orientation of new staff and educational programs; assist with supplies and equipment as needed.

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Hours: 3p to 11:30p M- F availability with call requirements (Nights, Weekends included)

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
