Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) Position

Location

Plymouth Hospital

Position Details

Contract guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments - guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked.

Shift

4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Certifications and Licenses

• Current Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be included in the application packet.
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only).

Experience

Minimum of 2 years recent pre-operative experience required.

Testing and Onboarding

• Pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding.
• Tests include Dysrhythmia (20 questions) and Medication (20 questions), administered via Zoom Protector meeting prior to assignment.
• RN candidates must complete testing within 48 hours of confirmation.
• Passing score is 85%; no retakes or remediation allowed.
• Preparation is strongly recommended using the provided study guide with tips and answers.

Work Requirements

• Time off exceeding 4 days will not be approved.
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
• On-call duties include one 24-hour weekend shift per month and three night calls per month (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), based on department needs.
• 30-minute response time required when on call.
• Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted.

• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
• Applicants who have worked at this health system as travel, permanent, or per diem staff within the last 6 months are not eligible; a 6-month separation is required.
