Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Recovery Room to support postoperative patient care. You will coordinate care within your assigned area and direct staff to implement the plan of care.

Requires South Carolina RN license and BLS; ACLS within 6 months and PALS encouraged. PACU experience preferred and all care is delivered on-site in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• SC nursing license required.
• One year PACU experience preferred.
• Current SC RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate care for a group of patients within the PACU.
• Direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient’s plan of care.
• Adhere to SC Nurse Practice Act, code of ethics, hospital policies and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Education

South Carolina Nursing License

Current South Carolina RN license

BLS certification

Description

The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. This individual has the responsibility to direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient's plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. Performs within the limits of SC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Position Requirements

Education

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License

Experience

• One year experience in the PACU preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Current South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS and National certification encouraged.
